The work group operates through a Steering Committee of 15 to 20 members with diverse experience and perspectives. The Steering Committee guides the overall direction of the work and oversees up to four expert subcommittees, each focused on a specific area of the LTSS system. Subcommittees develop recommendations that the Steering Committee reviews, refines, and votes on.
Steering Committee members bring their personal and professional expertise and lived experience to the Work Group. Their role is to guide the overall process, including
identifying the focus areas for subcommittee work, recruiting and selecting subcommittee
members, and reviewing and voting on the recommendations each subcommittee develops.
The Steering Committee meets monthly for up to two hours. Meetings are open to observers.
